This extra virgin olive oil produced by a cooperative of farmers based in the region around Lake Garda on Northern Italy blends oil from local Casaliva olives with with two common Italian varieties, Frantoio and Leccino. This skillful combination of early harvest, mostly hand-picked olives creates an olive oil with a complexity of flavors and a distinctive personality. Expect aromas of green almond alongside a strong bitter notes and moderate spice. This oil pairs nicely with freshwater fish, raw vegetables, roasted meats and hearty soups.
